Lifestyle Factors Influencing Treatment

While the physical self needs to be supported while enduring cancer treatments, an emphasis also needs to be put on the emotional, spiritual, and mental components to encompass a full spectrum of healing from cancer. Everyone’s journey to and from cancer is different. Individualized programs are developed to fit the each patient’s needs. These can include:

  • Movement/exercise programs
  • Bodywork
  • Meditation
  • Creativity exercises
  • Positive thinking exercises
  • Exploring spirituality

During an illness, we need to create a healing response. We will assist the cancer patient by creating a safe and relaxed environment, providing you an opportunity to feel deeply, and to get in touch with emotions that have gone unnoticed for too long, resulting in disease.

Research shows increasing physical activity after receiving the diagnosis of cancer greatly reduces the risk of return of that cancer.

Meditation and stress management has been shown to increase psychological functioning, enhance coping and well-being.

The addition of spirituality has been shown to increase quality of life in cancer patients as well as prolong it.
Visualizations have been shown to increase T-helper & T-killer cells, which aid in cancer defence.
